It’s1963, and Cal Buchanan has one more summer in the beach community his parents call home before he graduates from Harvard and steps into the life that has been meticulously planned for him. He will be working at his father’s company and marrying a longtime family friend who is the perfect wife for a wealthy society executive. It’s not the life he’d choose for himself, but he knows he can’t have what he truly wants.

 

He must keep an important part of his identity a secret from everyone.

But then he meets Jack Francis, an up-and-coming Hollywood heartthrob who is vacationing at the beach mansion next door. Jack is unlike anyone Cal has ever met: free-spirited, impulsive, and unashamed of his desires. As Cal grows closer to Jack and their friendship turns into a secret summer fling, Cal begins to wonder: does he have more choices than he thought, and will he have the courage to make them?
